He was nobody int the division who had defenses against nobody in the division.

What's good for the gander is good for the goose. And BTW Morales was past his prime the 1st Pacman fight. the 2nd Pacman fight he was past his best and the last Pacman figt he was shot. barrera was past his best as well for both fights. Good wins though, but P4P#1 is held to a higher standard. He should have done to them what he did too Oscar. And yes oscar was shot in that fight.
Too harsh on Pacquiao. Morrales and Barerra were both in shape when Manny busted them. This is silly critisizm.

** Note that JMM had to cut his paycheck to fight Pac just so Manny can fight him instead of David first.
I understand that and that is a valid argument, but that still doesn't explain why he agreed to fight David Diaz when he still could have fought Nate Campbell. He didn't have to fight Diaz, diaz was never his mandatory. He should have scratched his plans of Diaz and fought the true man of the division in Campbell.

Pacquaio. Better resume, more exciting fighter, has fought better competition in each weight(except 135).Mayweather have better skills, but Pacquaio have better wins.

Why whats the hurry? He's moving up in weight and fought a world champ. He'd **** up Campbell anyway.

            it's true.

pacquiao was the underdog to oscar and should be the underdog to ricky.

floyd was the favorite against both.

maybe it's because pacquiao is smaller. maybe it's because floyd is so much better than pacquiao. either way......oscar and ricky are more dangerous to manny than the guys in his division while they were less dangerous to floyd than the top 2 guys in his division.

don't you think ricky and oscar has/had a better chance of beating manny than beating floyd?[/QUOTE]well damn i guess you're right.....
yeah except that Cotto and margarito have a better chance at beating manny than Floyd too!!!

difference is while floyd was taking the big money for lower risk fights , manny's big money fights are actually higher risk.

cotto and margarito had a better chance against floyd than oscar or ricky while oscar at 147 and ricky at 140 are more dangerous than the guys in pacquiao's division.

i like both champs but if i had to choose it would be pac. mayweather for his talent, but pac for his desire.

their has always been p4p fighters with incredible skill, but are not entertaining to watch. in pac we have a great fighter that is entertaining to watch, which is indeed rare.

I prefer a humble champ that fights for his people than one that fights for money.

they were of a different breed before they beat up on each other. they were good wins. I'm just playing devil's advocate, but if he had beat them more convincingly at the time, then I wouldn't have much to criticize. Fact is he lost to Morales, beat a past his best barrera twice, and never really beat JMM and that gives him the #1 spot. I disagree....

but I thought it was not what he would do, but what he actually does....but I'll agree and say he would beat Campbell. it's ironic how his predecessor was held to certain standard, but Manny isn't being held to that same standard.

It was Pac's first fight at 135. I dont blame him for taking on Diaz for his first fight at 135. Floyd's took on Sharmbe Mitchell for his first fight at 147. What's the difference?
