Mikkel Kessler/Team Palle Conflict, Klitschko-Gomez, More

Sporten.dk in Denmark reports of a possible conflict between WBA super middleweight champ Mikkel Kessler and Team Palle, who have promoted and managed Kessler since the beginning of his career. The exact details of the conflict arenīt known but there is to be a meeting between Kessler and his attorneys and Palle and their legal representation to discuss the contract. Kesslerīs friend Simon Lundt Hansen have applied for a license as both promoter and manager. [details]

Kessler needs to make some kinda change in his career path. One that leads him to some meaningful fights.

Yeah, not sure what the dispute is, but his team don't do him much good. The trainer isn't overly helpful in terms of advice in fights, and Palle makes up some real **** about fights, saying Dawson is a CW is flat out wrong and clearly an excuse. Kessler wanted Dawson at a catch weight, fair enough to him. This might be an area of the dispute, and good on Mikkel.

If I was Kessler I'd be really frustrated. A man with that talent, left in the shadows by bad management. By the time he was undefeated and with several titles he was unknown to the casual fan in America, he should be fighting the big names at this point.

will Kessler get that fight vs Froch .. or is Froch still aiming at Taylor

**while an interesting bout I don't really see a point to Kessler vs Dawson at a catch weight.

ones a Super Middleweight and the other is a Light Heavyweight

what will Kessler-Dawson at say 170 really prove?

**it's not just that, but I don't really see a point to catch weight bouts ... all Jones-Trinidad and Pavlik-Hopkins, and even Winky-Hopkins proved were that Trinidad, Pavlik and Winky cannot fight at 170 pounds.

I mean all the above catch weight bouts make "great" HBO PPV's but I'd rather see Kessler vs Dawson at Light Heavy.

            just my 2 cents.

I agree, I don't like those catchweight fights. Kessler/Froch it's what needs to be made.

Simon seems like a cool dude and anyone would be better than Palle but it goes back to the old saying...freinds and business dont mix...Simon is Mikkel's best freind so read into it all you want but it seems risky to me...if it works then great and hope Mikkel gets some big fights!!

                  Kessler rules 168

Of course, Kessler is frustrated! None dare to meet him but Carl Froch.
Jermain Taylor should be a man and take the fight - HBO has shown itself willing to show the fight - but it seems that Taylor are afraid of Kessler - with good reason, a fight he would lose.

I see no one in the 168 beat Kessler or come close.

Around Christmas the news was, according to team Palle, Froch wanted Taylor before Kessler.

Palle could very well drag the legal stuff, and put Kessler out of work for a long time, he sure is stubborn enough to do so..
Let’s just hope Kessler gets a good opponent sometime soon.
