Israel Vazquez Is The Facelift That Featherweight Needs

By Jake Donovan - Mixed emotions ran through the industry upon hearing the news that current lineal junior featherweight king Israel Vazquez is strongly considering a move four pounds north after years of killing himself to make the122 lb. limit.

With all that he has provided in the way of non-stop action fights throughout his career, there resides a camp that grants Vazquez its blessings no matter his next move. His unforgettable trilogy with Rafael Marquez alone should give him carte blanche. [details]

        Vasquez your a bum.

mexican vs mexican doesn't make you a legit champion.

Go fight and give Juan Manuel Lopez a chance you overrated bum and so you'll get KTFO and let your fans make excuses for you of being an over the hill bum and too many battles.

Vasquez fighting Barrera isn't going to do you any good because like i said mexican vs mexican is basically bum vs bum to me.

So, fight JuanMa Lopez and get KFTO you COWARD. You BUM.

Vazquez has a bad style for moving up. He is an offensive fighter who relies on power to carry him a lot of the time, which is going to be at least somewhat diminished if he moves up to featherweight.

Gamboa would be crushed. Trust me, I like Gamboa, but there is no way he survives a fight with Vasquez. Maybe 2-3 year from now, but definately not ready now.

I'm kinda against this, but everyone who he needs to face is huge at 122 anyway and could easily carry the frame at 126.

Juanma will be the face of the 126 division, he is moving next yea to that that divsion, even early depending on the fights available at 122. I hope Vazquez stays at 122, and he fights Juanma, and the winner of that fight can face the winner of caba vs Marquez. I notice somebody metioned, Gamboa. aomboa is exciting to watch thats for sure, but he wont beat top guys, with his style, he is going no where, he have being KD by a couple of guys with no recognition as power puncher. Imaging what Juanma or Caballero or Vazquez can do to him!!!!!
