Reed does have a point people. I am no longer convinced Ricky can take punches like he once could. Pauli had no steam on his shots so Hatton could walk through him.

Of his last few opponents that had some snap, Ricky has looked very vulnerable. Can he muster up one last good performance? It is hard to say. I do know that Manny will be one tall hill to climb for Ricky.

joe's best wins are eubank , kessler , lacy , hopkins , roy.

eubank was a very good fighter but he hadn't fought at 168 for 2 years when he fought joe.

hopkins was a good win considering hopkins is still a tough win for anyone but he is 43 yrs. old.

roy was shot. roy has been shot for a while now. tarver and glengoffe koed him back to back for christ sakes.

kessler was a good win , how good will depend on how great kessler becomes which is possible because he still has time.

lacy was a good win but we all know now that lacy wasn't that good.

from the time he won his belt in '97 to '06 , who was joe fighting?

mitchell? reid? brewer? good opponents. but to fight 3-4 good fighters in a span of a 9 year span?

Not really, but sometimes I can't help thinking you act like a ****-end occasionally. It's a shame because sometimes you write good posts, but today you are basically spewing the same **** contained in all the other threads about Joe Calzaghe. There are thousands of them on BoxingScene.

I can see no reason for doing what you are doing other than to attempt to change people's opinions of Calzaghe. Unfortunately for you, this won't happen. The other threads here don't do anything either, but I guess they give those who are bored a few hours of excitement while waiting for the XBOX to cool down.

Page after page you pick apart Calzaghe, highlighting his faults and why you don't like him. It's boring, and you and your opinion are no more important than anyone else's, so why bother? You will not change anyone's opinion, and if that's what you are actually trying to do, then you are going about it the wrong way. Minds are not changed by you attacking something or someone that somebody else likes.

calzaghe is a great fighter but he ain't no ATG like people seem to post.

he spent 9 years fighting mediocre opponents. fact.

he had some good wins like reid , mitchell , brewer and one of my favorite fighters at 168 sheika but they were far and few between.
