Why you are a fan, why your not a fan.

Why you are a fan, why your not a fan.

Im not a fan of Winky, because he is too methodical and one paced and his style just has no flair what so ever. He does not punch hard he is not quick or explosive.

Im not a fan of Margarito, because he is not a skilled fighter. I love aggressive fighters its a must for me, but they have to be skilled with it too like a Rid**** Bowe,Terry Norris,Marco Barrera,Eric Morales,Evander Holyfield etc.

Im not a fan of Williams for pretty much the same reason im not a fan of Margarito, i just dont see much ability with him. He is more skiled than Margarito, but his style still does not apeal to me.

    Calzaghe self explanatory

I am a fan of Cotto, because he is skilled and aggressive and the relentless pressure he sometimes puts on is really appealing to me

I am a fan of Haye, because he brings the aggression and drama, because of his power and vulnerability.

It's funny, I feel almost the same as everything you wrote with two exceptions. I think Williams is exactly what the sport needs and think he has great ability. The other is, for some reason, I've always liked Winky Wright. I think I just watch him fight and marvel at how disciplined and methodical he is. Winky vs. Trinidad is one of the greatest boxing lessons I've ever seen.

I'm a fan of Floyd Mayweather, because his defense is the best i have ever seen in boxing. And as a boxer, it helps me improve my game. I also appreciate his speed.

I'm a fan of Bernard Hopkins, because he keeps defying the odds. From the Trinidad fight all the way to the Pavlik win, he just keeps proving everyone wrong. A great great ATG.

I'm not a fan of Calzaghe as i believe he's living off wins against ageing fighters which i believe is wrong. Also, he seems to be the only one getting credit for beating older fighters, all the other fighter gets stick for facing old fighters.

I'm not a fan of Paul Williams, i just don't think he's as good as everyone thinks.

Cant think of any other fighter i dislike. I can add more to the fighters i appreciate...

Agreed, Ive always seemed to appreciate what Winky Wright has to offer. His discipline is immense. Also, he came up the ranks the hard way. He fought in a lot of different countries which i respect.

I am a fan of Ricky Hatton: I can relate to him, he doesn't have an ego and has tried to make a career in what i would call the correct way. fighting his way up through the levels before facing the best both in terms of in his division (Tszyu - Malinaggi) and P4P (PBF - Pacman) even though realisticly he's not at that level.

I am a fan of Barrera (and Morales): because he's a warrior and loves a slugfest, but he's smart enough to know that if he fights a slugfest against the wrong fighter he will end up in a coma so outboxed them instead. His fights with Morales will go down in boxing history.

I am a fan of Tyson the fighter: because at his best he was a distructive machine as good as anyone ever at heavyweight, even the greats.

I am not a fan of junior Witter: because i cannot relate to him and his ego is enormous, he never fought anyone particularly good and never really looked good doing it.

I am not a fan of Glen Johnson: I never got why people rate him, he's not good to watch and people keep saying that Calzaghe ducked him while ignoring the fact he lost 6 out 11 fights at SMW at that time.

I Am not a fan of Tyson the person: He's a worthless human being and utterly disgusts me.

I am a fan of Bernard Hopkins because of his ring smarts, his win-by-any-means-necessary mentality and technical subtleties that truly amaze me... i think he's a genius in the ring. also i like rooting for the underdog, and B-Hop's been underdog in quite a few of his big fights, and is also generally quite a disliked character/boxer... and i find his loud, abrasive attitude entertaining

I am not a fan of Ricky Hatton as i feel he is highly overrated as a fighter, his resume is highly overrated, his style is ugly to watch and doesn't require much technical skill AND i find his constant nice guy/cheeky act is quite contrived and annoying

I hear you and agree with you on Hopkins.

I honestly think Nard is probably THE most intelligent fighter IVE ever seen. I also think he is the best MW of all time, but that is another story.

A side issue though you say Hatton is ugly to watch, which i agree with, but have you ever seen Hopkins v Joppy,Holmes,Allen 1,2,3. or John D Jackson v Nard.

              Horrible performances they were.

                  Guys I like:
-Tony Thompson, because he is goofy, started boxing late, is a nice guy and forgot his shoes to a boxing match once.
-Juan Diaz, because he goes to college, lives with his parents, has a fun style, and has been fighting for a long time at the top level even though he is young
-Nate Campbell, because he has a good career comeback story, has an exciting style, is always trying to do the best things for boxing, is a pretty funny guy and used to work at Wal Mart.
-Wlad Klitschko, because he does his best to get the best fights available, is the only real talented guy at heavyweigth other than his brother, has a good sense of humor, donates to charities and has once worn a cowboy outfit in a music video

                  guys I dislike:
-Anthony Mundine, because he says and does idiotic things and then turns around and fights bums his whole career
-Cory Spinks, because his style is awful

I'm a fan of Joe Calzaghe cuz he simplywhat boxing is all about. To keep winning it no matter what. I am amazed of his handspeed and great footwork which is very rare for a big tall guy to posses. Some say he fights fighters that are way past their prime but didn't he beat other fearsome opponents like Jeff lacy and Mikel kessler, He outworked Bernard hopkins and sent Roy jones back to retirement.

I'm not a fan of Bernard Hopkins cuz I find his style so annoying and boring. He fights dirty and uhm I just hate this arrogant guy.
