I would agree Shane Mosley does have more power than Miguel Cotto. He hits harder, that is true. I really don't think it's debatable. How many people has Mosley put on their ass with one punch, and how many has Miguel Cotto. Mosley even rocked the hell out of Winky Wright, who went up as a high as 170 and fights at 154 and 160.

Cotto took his ass whoopin like a G, its an intelligent move to not be permanently injured.

I think it has more to do with his explosiveness & speed. I still say Cotto hits harder.

Mosley has a puncher's chance! He gots the power to stop Margarito and he has shown he still has stamina too bad he's shorter. I like Shane better than Margarito style wise.

Once Shane lands that hook Margo will be a different fighter.

So all you talking about stick and move need to get the f-k outta here! When have yall seen Shane fight that way? He never pot shots or runs like a *****, he fights! And I think that will be his downfall in this one.

I like Shane and all but age will be a great factor in this one, Tony's younger and stronger at this point, Shane's best days are behind him now.

As soon as Tony lands a big one Shane's gameplan will go out the window and he'll start trading.
You have a good point, people have this strange idea that Mosley is some kind of slick, defensive fighter and he isnt at all. Some might say thats his advantage in this fight, though, he wont back up much and will try to hit Margarito with big shots all night.
I agree Margarito is going to win, Im just sayin.

both of those knocks you mentioned were due to accumulation of punches lol **** it took him 11 rounds and 2 minutes and 59 seconds to finally knock mayorga out lol and he wont have the same power at 147.

Yep, agreed. I just don't think he can take this one at this point in his career. He was struggling with Mayorga throughout the mid rounds of their bout after he wasn't able to blow him out straight away. I see him really struggling when he realises that he can't take Marg out and that Marg will only get stronger and put more pressure on as the fight wears on down the stretch. It will get really tough for him towards the end.

You're also right in that Mosley has never been a boxer. Certainly not in the vein of the more famous 'Sugars' anyway. He has been a straight at you, combination speed puncher much closer to Meldrick Taylor than Ray Leonard/Robinson.

that's right. I ani't gonna lie though, I would love to see Sugar Shane win this fight, he's a guy you just can't hate. Margarito on the other hand has been whining and talking trash fpr the past couple of months...

He'll lose because he's old as ****, not because Margarito is any good
