1. It's interesting that people classify him as a fighter with a bad chin... why is that? Is it because Kostya Tszyu knocked him out? Not a great benchmark to judge a chin by IMO. Or is it because he got KO'd against Cotto, when in reality, the fight was beaten out of him and he finished the fight on his feet? Cotto's power at 147 is pretty overrated IMO, but it's not like you can just take flush punches on the chin from him and stand up if you have a glass chin, and Judah did take flush punches on the chin.
2. It's also interesting to me that he doesn't have a glass chin. Judah's problem is that he fights way too hard in the early rounds IMO, and leaves himself without the energy to effectively fight in the later rounds. He looks so spectacular in the early rounds, and then fades. Generally fighters who do that are susceptible to KOs because they are so exhausted. I'm watching Morales-Jones right now, and he has taken quite a few good punches on the chin, just like he did against McKinney. He was able to get a good lead against both because he did fight so hard, but then was just spent when he got KOd in the 4th round both times. Judah fights the same way as Jones, but his chin holds up much better.
Those are two things that I was thinking about that I just wanted to let out.
