Is Pacquiao getting too highly rated?

I find it slightly bemusing that hatton is now being held in such low regard by some people in respect of his upcoming fight with manny pacquiao. Before the de la hoya fight hatton held the slight edge in the eyes of most with pacquiao having to come up a weight to fight him, however now i'm hearing hattons going to be 'destroyed' and 'brutally ko'ed', but tbh i just dont really rate pacquiao's win over de la hoya that much. De la Hoya looked dreadful just standing there hardly putting up much in the way of a fight. Its easy to look good when your opponant looks that bad. Does manny actually carry his power up weights? He hit de la hoya flush several times but it didn't exactly send him sprawling. De la Hoya just covered up and allowed himself to take the shots, hatton will get in close and try to spoil, hold and maul pacquiao. If he gets away with it its very effective.

Its not as if Pacquiao has a perfect record, he's suffered 2 defeats by 3rd round ko! and has had a few lucky decisions along the way.

i think hatton has a much better shot than some people are giving him credit for, very much looking forward to it.

I don't think he's getting rated too highly, afterall, it's not like he doesn't put in the effort to achieve what he's accomplished, nor does he go around show boating or bragging about it. But I do feel Hatton might be taken abit lightly by the people around Pacquiao though hopefully Pacquiao and Roach know that Hatton is a live opponent. At least Hatton won his last bout so that should give them some incentive to train just as hard and put in all the work as if it was another Oscar bout.

Pacman came up to 147 as an underdog and completely dominated the bigger man,a career defining win,he deserves his rating, plus he knows he cant tangle with the elite welterweights, that was just a one fight move. But I do think that Hatton is being overlooked at 140,he has ruled that div. thoroughly, after topping Tzyu,it will be a close fight no doubt!!

Being rated high? I don't think so but being rated low seems to be the norm that I can see. People seem to think his wins are by luck or by defeating old and worn-out fighters. Whatever the case may be, he brings excitement into each and every one of his fights which the majority of us casual spectators and boxing enthusiasts love to watch. People get their "Money's worth" when viewing the Pacman in action. JAT
