Stuff NSB didn't know about the Rocky movies

Got caught up in the Rocky marathon and thought I'd start a thread about Rocky trivia. Did ya'll know that Ernie Shavers was suppose to play Clubber Lang, but in a practice fight with Stallone, Shavers broke 2 of Sly's ribs in 3 rounds and was let go, replaced by Mr. T.

When Stallone originally wrote the script (after watching Ali-Wepner), it was much darker and more depressing. Mickey was a bitter angry racist, and Rocky throws the fight because he didn't want to be part of such a cynical event.

Actually I remember reading that Ali was originally supposed to play the part of Apollo Creed, but I think scheduling diifficulties prevented it, so they had Joe Frazier and Ken Norton audition for the part, but they felt Carl Weathers was the best man for the job.
