Why arent they any 9-9 rounds? I just finished watching Barrera vs Marquez and even though i still had Marquez winning by a point I scored 3 even rounds! 11,12,4...Sometimes rounds are too damn close to give it to one guy, For example Marquez vs Pacquiao II round 1?...
Why Dont they score Even rounds???

I couldn't agree more. But even rounds are actually discouraged by the judging guidelines. This is kind of unbelievable... it's like asking for controversy. Why arent they any 9-9 rounds? I agree about even rounds sometimes being accurate. However, if a round were scored even it would be 10-10 and not 9-9.Why arent they any 9-9 rounds? otherwise more bouts would end up in a draw. That's why it 9/10 round so that 1 point can determine the winner or the loser. Think about it, if two boxers scored 9/9 in 12 rounds what is that? 108/108 draw.
that's why they have 3 judges and scored a 9/10 on each round. 8/10 if there's a knockdown and a 7/10 if a guy gets competely whooped on.
Yup. 1 point is a lot in boxing.

yeah but what are the odds of a match being scored even for 12 rounds?, by 3 judges?....I think it needs to be done, It is what it is, if its an even round its a even roundotherwise more bouts would end up in a draw. Entirely untrue. Scoring more even rounds wouldn't have any impact on the amount of draws unless it became commonfor judges to score every round even. Otherwise... it would be basically the same.otherwise more bouts would end up in a draw. That's why it 9/10 round so that 1 point can determine the winner or the loser. Think about it, if two boxers scored 9/9 in 12 rounds what is that? 108/108 draw.
