Say TYSON had got back with Rooney

When Mike got outta jail the 1st time, would his career hav went any better?
Could Rooney have won him the Evander bouts?
Even later when the Holy scraps were done could he have turned things around?

Nah Mike when he Loved the sport and his heart was in it was as game as anyone. Remember when Bruno hit him with that Bomb in the openerback in the day, shook the **** outta him but his 1st instinct was Hit em back, threw a huge hook straight away. Against Buster he never quit, even Knocked him on his ass in that losing bout. Look at his Battles with the huge hitting Razor Ruddock too or even his 1st attempt at Evander. I remember him saying yeah he gets scared but there comes a time when u just gotta plant ur eet, bite down on ur gumgaurd and swing!

He just lost his passion and zest towards the sport somewhere along the line and a ighter with no passion is no ighter at all

I think Rooney woulda helped get Mike movin his head again and throwing combos once more, using the numbers system that left with Rooney.
But if a guy dont wanna train right he wont train right and when ur zest for give and take combat has gone it never really returns, mikes stomach was gone so i doubt it makes much difference in hard fights if Rooney was brought back or not but it sure wouldnt have hurt!

            Thats my take

Tyson was real comfortable with Rooney IMO. He was lost in the mental part of the game and that's where I feel the comfort zone of Rooney would've helped him on.

Rooney was one of the guys who could hold Tyson's leash. He also understood Tyson's style, as he was the last disciple of Cus D'Mato. So yes I think Tyson would have beaten Holyfield & maybe Lewis too. If not he would have come very close at least, because he would have had the skill and discipline to do better. After he fired Rooney, Tyson never really worked as hard or as organized as he once did. There was also another guy that managed Tyson who died, they said that screwed Tyson up too.

I think Tyson lost some valuable years just like Ali and their legacy could have been even better had they been allowed to fight during them periods. Tyson is an inteligent guy even though he has had his troubles due to him being easily influenced from the negative people around him so he knew the boxing game well and when his heart was init he was definitely a bad ass.
