Please Bring back 15 round fights!

If fights would just go 15, I think we would have new champions...

Manny and Mayweather could pull off a great 15 round fight (If it went that long)

Plus an odd amount of rounds, less odds of a draw.

It may force better conditioning of fighters.

    I like the idea, personally

I think it just puts fighters at more risk and 12 round fights have done very little to effect fights since they changed it.

I'd rather see the weigh-in procedures go back to the old rules.

I don't know if the 12 round limit has really made things safer. Some guys died in fights that went more than 12, but who knows really if the serious damage had already been done by the time 12 rounds were done? Or if they would've increased the pace if it had been scheduled for 12?

The rule changes were said to be for the fighters' safety, but that might've been just a smokescreen anyway. Back then boxing was bigger on network TV, and it was easier to fight 12 rounds (plus intros, commercials, interviews) in one hour than it was to fight 15.

Wow you want them to weigh in the same day of the fight and fight 15 rounds at the same time?

Why don't we just let them use knives and guns in the ring while we are at it since you have no regard for the fighters safety?

I think it's not the problem. What we need, as everyone here already knows, is less champions, less belts, less title fights and more proper contender rankings. As in if you move up you have to fight the top contenders to get a shot instead of picking and choosing whoever is easiest to beat with the most reward. That's what we need in boxing. It would stop this ridiculous 40-0 type records with a million title fights but no one actually beaten worth a damn.

The same-day weigh-ins are better for competition. Something is wrong when a junior welterweight outweighs his opponent 157 to 140 on the night of the fight. Weight classes exist so guys fight guys of the same size. Fighters now have more time to rehydrate, but it's not safe when one guy has a signficant size advantage on the other (Gatti-Gamache, assuming Gatti even made weight).

I'm indifferent about 12 or 15 rounds. I'm skeptical that it was even changed for the fighters' safety anyway, despite that being the "official" reason.

Yeah, I hate those interim, intercontinental etc. etc. etc. BS. Also the fact that we see some fighters getting undeserved shots like Judah, Rocky Juarez. Protected champions like Erdei, Chris John. I really hate that.
