How much longer do you think Wladimir will reign at Heavy?

I'm not to sure that he would have been champ in the 90's i could see Prime Lennox or Prime Holyfield taking him but apart from that, yup Wlad would have been hard to beat in any eraComment

It's amazing to me the amount of people on here either that think he's either the greatest HW ever, or some oversized, glass jawed, journeyman joke. His chin will always be a question mark when determining who he could or couldn't have beaten, but the guy has always beaten the count, and come back from some bad beatings (one really vicious one) to become the best HW in the world. He's not always exciting, especially against southpaws, but at almost 33 and after 55 pro fights, he still seems to be improving. Like him or not, he would be dangerous in any era, though his resume and unavenged defeats will keep him from being ranked very high all time, unless he keeps doing what he's doing for 4 or 5 more years.Comment

I think Haye could've bleat Wladimir had he not opted to first fight the man mountain Vitali the superior of the Klitschko brothers.
Since Vitali will most likely beat Haye into retirement and he wont fight his own brother I think the only other guy that stands a chance of beating Wladimir is REAL WBA Heavyweight Champion Ruslan Chagev.Last edited by C.J.Mak; 01-01-2009, 09:12 PM.Comment

If he had said that WK wouldn't have been a champion in the 1990's, I wouldn't have even commented. But to say he wouldn't have even been a contender is insulting to any serious boxing fan. How many rounds has he even lost in his entire career?Comment

I can't see him losing at the moment.
Everyone he faces has the obligatory; punchers chance. It's a bit of a cop-out, most of the time Wlad just sticks that jab in their face and the punchers-chance becomes-no chance.
To find a guy and say definetively, this guy beats Wlad, you'd be hard-pressed.
Wlad seems to have eliminated all risk from his game. He simply doesn't engage on the inside, at all. It also seems that nobody has the handspeed, nor the skillset to trouble him. After going through the dark times including a nervy Peter performance, he's been comfortable.
Haye, genuinely did have a chance against Wlad about 20%, but Vitali is going to beat the **** of that boy and Wlad should reign supreme.Comment

Vitali will now reap the rewards, especially if the fight is over here.Comment

I think Wlad will regret not taking the opportunity he had to fight Haye. He won't come across anyone else in his career who will give him that exposure. Haye had Wlad in the spotlight and had people talking about him more then usual.

This is why we should all really pray for Haye to beat Vitali, because IF that does happen - Wlad vs Haye becomes the biggest fight in the Heavyweight division since Tyson - Lewis.Comment
