Well yeah, if you are born here, you cant act like you are a full on Mexican. Its like us Americans claiming Lennox Lewis because he has a home in Vegas or something. But the guy is more Mexican then he is American.

Margarito was born in the USA hospital he was 1 day old. Then say at 8 months old he went to Mexico. Since 8 months old, he has lived in Mexico. Now you tell me being born in American makes him the same as me, who was born and raised in America?

What ignorant people don't understand is that the Chicano with Mexican parents were raised in a spanish speaking language its the first language we learned first. So for a few years while i lived in America coming from Mexican parents i talked only spanish. Then as i picked up the english words of my brothers and tv i started to Americanized. Flip it to how Margarito grew up, he never became Americanized.

But if you need to tell yourself that Margarito is American, so you can be a fan of his. Welcome to the club. But don't be ignorant and say he's any less Mexican.
