Ricardo Williams Back on 1/31, Edison Miranda Returns 1/14

HOLLYWOOD, FL – On January 11, 2008, Edison Miranda blasted David Banks out of the ring in the third round, a knockout recently named 2008 Knockout of the Year by ESPN.com’s Dan Rafael. On January 14th, 2009, “Pantera” hopes to make spectacular January knockouts an annual tradition when he takes on Manuel Esparza on the latest edition of “Hard Knocks at the Hard Rock” at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida. I'll be interested to see what Ricardo Williams looks like now that he's spent his mil, gone to jail and come out the other side. Hopefully he'll take his career seriously. I didn't see any of his fights this year. Did anybody? How'd he look?

Miranda should gradually 'step up' his level of competition before getting in with a world champion again. He's one knockout loss away from career ruin...

Expect a similar plan after he got KTFO by Pavlik.
Porras/Banks/Title Shot (will, not offically one, but he fought a champ).

He is fighting a bum on Jan 14th, but after that expect him back on ESPN2 against a decent 'Banks' type opponent. He will then be back in a title hunt.

Good luck Edison, you always got a fan here!

Also, I hear he may take a second fight right after this Jan 14th match. He took a way to long break 7 month break since Abraham. Hopefully by early this year he will be working on a title fight (or maybe an elimination bout for a title shot).

Will the Miranda train get rolling again? Keeping my fingers crossed !
