Didn't you know that America is the Mecca of boxing ?
They don't have to go to different countries, they are American, they are above the law.

The SMW division is a relatively new division but he is defo the best in that division. .... perhaps even the best at LHW

Ok he fought who he wanted to fight...but tell me one yank who hasn't been accused of ducking somebody? Thats boxing.

        He was great........

It's true. Just as I said previously, when a previously respected and touted American fighter loses to a European, suddenly he's a bum. Like Jeff Lacy. He was heavily hyped before he lost to Calzaghe. And don't even try to deny that you losers!

All you who bash and ridicule Calzaghe are nothing but bad losers. Let's not forget that Jones jr became a LHW champion by beating a guy 12 years older-Mike McCallum. And McCallum still gave him a tough fight. He was almost 40 at the time. Jones was 39 when he fought Calzaghe.

Joe C's a good boxer, overrated by some, underrated by many. I can't stand him though.

people love toohate calzaghe on here, its pretty pathetic no doubt,it probably has a lot too do with him beating two of their best fighters of the last decade towards the end of his career
but everyone is entitled too their own opinion TS,a lot that is said about him is repeated over and over again and their are a few guys who are just worth ignoring because they dont know s**t

he had a good career did Joe, there has never been a fighter who has fought every threat, he did what he had to do in a weak division

He can retire in peace as a great fighter
