why i think this may be possible is because during the build up, dlh was praising pac. increasing his stock, all the while making it appear that he may "already be too old" to fight "top competition". never seen a build up like that where the one guy was making an effort to make his opponent look good and make it appear the guy have an excellent chance to win.

during the fight, dlh looked like he weighed more than 147 pounds. i dont recall any other dlh fights where they released dlh's fighting weight. (though im not a dlh fan so i cannot say for sure) the purpose of this probably is to make idiot-fans think that "hey, there is not much size difference here. im sure as hell gonna give credit to dlh if he kod this pac guy. he's bigger than dlh!"

damn. gonna start a thread on this topic

Totally agree. Apart from the comment about dlh weighing in more than 147, he clearly did'nt.

But he weighed in at 147 because he thought he would easily beat dlh and did'nt want the weight advantage to be an excuse. Thats the only logical explantaion. Even if he weighed in at 150, i still can't see him beating Pacquiao on that night.

De La Hoya needs to come out and publically explain his performance, rather than saying, 'Pacquiao is excellent'...

Pac didnt SD him or just beat him up for 12 rounds to a ud... he dominated him and made him quit. That was a great win.

dlh wasn't dehydrated, 145 was due to the diet and was actually his walking around weight after the training camp. dlh was not sick, dehydrated, or weight drained, he simply got his ass beat by manny.

though i was the only one that noticed this but some analyst (youtube nerds) also mentioned it when they are doing their post-fight analysis.

even if dlh was weight drained/old/sick i never thought pac would ko him like that.
stop trying to give pacquiao undeserved credit u ***in nuthugger, HE WAS dehydrated which is why he COULDNT go back to his ***ing natural weight, oscar has fought more awkward style fighters in his career(Whitaker...) pacquiao was just hitting a punching bag, ****** moron.. for christ sakes being 35 aint gonna help you when u move all the way the *** down to a weight u havent been in 8 ***ing years

btw: schaefer said he was actually 143 in training camp..

So, if weighing in at 145lbs was the reason for getting his teeth kicked in. What was the reason for getting slapped around by Floyd at his "comfortable weight of 154lbs".

DLH at 147 against PAC, LOST, DLH at 154 against Floyd, LOST, DLH at 160 against B-Hop, Lost. Was he weight drained in all these weight classes?

he looked weak, i could not believe what I was seeing, IPacman is my second favorite fighter but this is one win I will never ever give him credit for. Oscar was not all there, Im an amateur boxer and let me tell you...there is nothing funny about dehydration.
