What you have to understand is that sometimes it is not in your best interest to fight for the first belt available. You win the WBO, you are no longer ranked by any of the other belts. Which would make it near impossible to get some of those fights with the other champs. So fighters choose which belt to go after, IF they have a choice. If Pwill stays at 154, I hope he tries to become Vernon's mandatory. That is the only way he will get him in the ring. Sergei is a nobody, even over in his country, when it comes to making money. You go for the name fights if you can get them, and as inactive as he has been, Winky Wright is still a big name.

margarito has never had trouble making weight i don't know if you made that up or not, im thinking you did.

Margarito will move up in weight within 1 or 2 years in 09' or 10, Marg will move up in weight. He's had problems before. Heard it from his own mouth in the training vids from boxingscene.

Get over it, paul is a coward he declined the immediate re-match and now only wants to fight easy fights and demand a fight with margarito now that he has made it. It's like a ***** who doesn't want a man but once he buys a nice car, clothes, and flashes a little money the ***** wants to suck his **** and be seen with him. Paul couldn't even put up a resume at 147 to make a fight with margarito happen. He bitched out vacated(probably cause he has a hard time making 147) and now he fights verno's, kolles, maybe a guy that hasn't fought in 2 years, and turns down a mandatory position that he's in to fight sergie for a belt at 154, the dude is a fraud just like his bandwagon fans.

I can agree to a degree. Paul Williams does look like he's looking for a big $ fight but if he doesn't fight the legit guys at 154, how can he get that exposure and build up his rep without facing his mandatories? A guy at 154 with a title calls him out & he doesn't jump on it? Very questionable but I don't believe he's a fraud because he has lots of potential but the problem with these young guys is that they all want the big $, glamor & glitter without putting that work in. He should forget about trying to chase others for opportunities & make his own.
