Probably the worst Top five list ever. People give Marquez way too much credit. Regardless of what the outcome of his fights with Pac, Pac was still in the fight and no where near from losing. Those fights were competitive on both sides. Also how can people put Marquez up so high when he has a lost against Chris John that he never plans on avenging.

pffffffft, hopkins turns 44 next month, he is a hall of famer and an all time great. What the hell does Hopkins NEED to fight Dawson for??? Hopkins already beat a 26 year old fighter in Pavlik. Not saying Dawson is Pavlik but Hopkins at this point doesn't need anyone. Plus, dawson is scheduled to fight tarver again, what should hopkins wait till the end of the year to fight dawson? crazy. Hopkins already stated at his age he needs to fight soon, he can't afford to wait a year or almost a year. He's got one fight left and it has to be soon. I could see him going up in weight again, either to cruiser or heavy and win a title then call it quits.

If he fights the big fights then why does he make smaller guys move up in his last three fights instead of fighting guys at his "own weight." Calzaghe landed more punches on Jones than any other fighter.

i am sick and tired of all these bhop hating authors who write these things. who tha hell said that the kelly pavlik fight was going to be easy, if im not mistaken, damn near every boxing fan(including me) picked kelly to win easily, the most famous pick was pavlik by knockout. so hopkins was actually the underdog in that fight, but when kelly was getting embarrased, the commentators started making excuses for him,talkin bout "its not his normal weight class", its not hopkins normal weight class either, he will be remembered as a middleweight, its not like he has overwhelming knockout power, pavlik has more power but just couldnt land one punch.


so stop hating on bernard, its like he said "what do i gotta do, kill somebody?"
and chad dawson is a nobody, i havent seen a guy blow up without even proving himself. he barely beat an old glen jonhson, and lost the respect of many fans when he didnt give glen the rematch he deserved. then he dominated a way past his prime tarver, and its giving him a rematch nobody wants to see. i guarantee anybody, that if hopkins fights dawson, and dominates him, these haters would say that chad is too inexperienced, too young, and hasnt been tested yet and take credit away from the best boxer of our era, hopkins.

everybody knows the most meaningful fight that could be made at light-heavyweight is calzaghe-hopkins 2, they are both coming off dominating performances, but hopkins victory over pavlik was unnexpected, while jonesjr was a very shot fighter. bhop has agreed to go to wales and do it in joe's backyard, its all up to calzaghe, and i think he will one day agree on it because he doesnt wanna retire,hes not interested in dawson or froch cuz he says that they are nobodies, and lets not forget he publicly ducked kelly pavlik and chose to fight jones where there is no risk involved. joe cannot run from this rematch for long.
