boxing doesn't need a tyson for every era. it wouldn't hurt if boxing had a network tv deal and they marketed some of the top stars like pavlik, dawson, etc. and make them names so when they do go to ppv they'll consistently sell 500k or so ppv.

JUST LIKE the ufc..[no matter how much profit ufc made] BOXING also had a bad year..the matchups werent good at all and 2009 looks to be a GREAT year in boxing...as long as PROMOTERS dont screw it up..i blame ONE thing for boxing not being as big as it should be...ONE THING.. and thats promoters.

Promoters dont give two ****s about the sport..cause they still get a damn decent amount of money even when the payperview is horrible..promoters WILL NEVER LOSE..UFC is a FAMILY BUSINESS..[pretty much] theres NO promoters running around making THEIR fighters fight whoever they want..
In UFC fighters HAVE to fight whoever ufc tells them its as simple as that..
If they dont then they can f off..its that simple guys..thats why UFC fighters get payed slave wages and they still make a ton of profit..other mma orgs are closing down and the fighters know this..THERE ISNT A SINGLE PROMOTER IN UFC..in the world of boxing theres NOTHING BUT PROMOTERS..

So in closing lets just hope that promoters make the GOOD FIGHTS and give us boxing fans what ufc gives mma fans:::GREAT ****EN FIGHTS..

what makes you think boxing is the #1 spectator sport?

granted it's exciting as hell to watch

but that's just because I've already moved on from watching baseball, basketball, football, soccer etc.

if boxing wants to be on top they have to limit the PPV's.

boxing.. like soccer is watched all around the world.
not everyone has to pay for ppv either.
