Shane Cameron May Want More Money Than David Tua

Negotiations continue to finalize a proposed fight between New Zealand rivals David Tua and Shane Cameron. According to Fairfax Media, Eric Watson is now involved in the negotiations. Watson, owner of the New Zealand Warriors rugby team, bankrolls Team Cameron. He was sent a copy of the fight contract, which guarantees Cameron $500,000 dollars for the Tua meeting. Tua is receiving the same purse. Watson plans to review the contract. [details]

This fight is never going to happen.

Tua's management is incompetent. Kushner does not have the ability to negotiate.

What a friggin soap opera. Mr. Cameron better get on with this fight or another soon or he risks an even bigger backlash with fans.

If they don't make this fight neither guy will make even 100,000 in their next fight

I think I speak for all Boxingscene readers when I say - give Shane Cameron all the money he wants - because Cameron vs. Tua is a fight that must happen.

If you have to jack up the PPV price to $60.00 we will all gladly pay.

Stop cheating us out of Cameron vs. Tua. It's not fair!

I wouldn't pay $60 to watch those two fight in my back garden

Cameron won't sign because he is scared. Tua will knock him out in 3 rounds

Cameron is the one holding this up if you read the article. He wants 500k and he's a nobody? go figure.
Tua agreed to fight in Cameron's hometown, and agreed to a change in the date, it's Cameron who's stalling now.

I guess that's his retirement money.
