Juan Urango Ready To Regain, Beat Herman Ngoudjo

Former junior welterweight champion Juan Urango (20-1-1, 16 KOs) is training hard in Bairoa in Caguas, Puerto Rico. Miguel Cotto is training at the same gym to prepare for his February 21 bout with Michael Jennings with the vacant WBO welterweight title at stake. Urango is gearing up for his own title conquest, a fight with Herman Ngoudjo (17-2, 9 KOs) on January 31 in Quebec, Canada. The vacant IBF junior welterweight title will be at stake. [details]

this actually could be a really good fight. It is almost a toss-up, I naturally (I mean, biasedly) give the nod to Ngoudjo. This will be a body punch war.

That IBF title is essentially meaningless now. I wish Urango the best of luck in winning it but the IBF belt must smell of Ricky Hatton's belly sweat by now he's won it and vacated it that many times.

The headline made it sound like Urango has already beaten Herman Ngoujgo

This is definitely a fight that i will tune in for. I like Urango to win, i think hes much more consistent and while Herman is a good boxer, he abandons his game plan and stays on the inside too long, and against a power house like Urango that could cost him a knockout loss.

I want to see Victor Ortiz get a shot at the winner of this fight.

Urango is one of those comlumians who beats every c-f class fighter but loses to anyone whos above that class. He will beat Herman easily I believe.
