i'm watching cotto-marg right now on hbo on demand.

      great fight.

cotto backed up too much. if he goes forward more and learns to clinch i think he'll win the rematch.

And more emphasis on defense when on the ropes would help ALOT

he's not even suppose to be on the ropes.

he had great d in the fight.

he made marg miss a lot and a lot margs blows in the early rounds was glancing blows.

he just let marg keep coming forward too much.

he needed to mix it up more. go forward and popshot and move to the side sometimes.

he needs to clinch everytime he gets trapped in the corner too. it'll make for a more boring fight but that's the only way he wins.

Yea, he needs to realize he can't KO Margarito. He should not try to trade my Margarito at all. I betting on him winning the rematch

                Vs Cintron 160
                Vs Williams 157

Ok so if he fought at middleweight he would easily make the weight limit and probably wouldnt gain more than 2 pounds.

Now lets look at some current and past middleweights.

                Kelly Pavlik 6'2 -Middleweight Champion
Vs Lockett he rehydrated in at 170
Vs Miranda he rehydrated in at 171
Vs Taylor I he rehydrated in at 168

Marco Antonio Rubio who will be challenging Pavlik for his title in his last fight rehydrated in at 175 pounds vs Enrique Ornelas who also came in fight night at 175 pounds.

Jermain Taylor rehydrated in at 171 against Bernard Hopkins who came in at 168 in the first fight at middleweight. Jermain Taylor against Raul Marquez comes in at 169 while Raul Marquez weighed 170 fight night.

Winky Wright came in at 168 when he fought Felix Trinidad who came in at 169. Trinidad in his fight with Mayorga came in at 168 pounds. Winky Wright came in at 171 against Sam Soliman.

                --------------------------------

So as you all can see if Margarito was a middleweight, on fight night he would weigh around 160-162 pounds tops. Now take his fight night weight and he will be fighting or would have fought the best middleweights who would have been weighing anywhere from 168-175 pounds.

SO he would be a middleweight fighting super middleweights and light heavyweights.

Is this fair for Margarito? No it is not.
Is it fair that hes doing it to small welterweights himself? Imo he should atleast move up to 154.
