Abner Mares vs Juanma Lopez

Who wins??

I think Mares 2 years from now would beat Juanma Lopez, this could be a mega bout in the future, maybe like in 3 years once they both establish themselves and stay undefeated, this could be another Cotto/Margarito
De La Hoya/Trinidad kind of fight.

Mares would do good at Bantam, but at Superbantam...he'll have problems with the big guns of that division. Vazquez, Caballero, Lopez, Marquez, Gonzales, Molitor, Concepcion and Ponce de Leon. The others he can probably out-point. When you talk about fighting Lopez though, it is not a matter of will Mares win over him or not, it is a matter of what round Lopez is going to knock him out. I like Mares but he's just too small for the top superbantams.

Mares is good, but I gotta admit he's still green, you can tell because he always gets caught in his fights, he needs a little more polishing, Nacho is doing a great job with him though. But like I said before I can see Mares vs lopez sometime in the future if either one don't screw up along the process. We could be in for a treat.

Mares is just to small for Juanma I agree with Xcaret on that. By the time Mares move up from 118, Juanma will be at 130 for sure, he is moving to 126 in 2010 and he might do 2 or 3 fights at Featherweight and he will move quickly to 130. Juanma is pushing it to make 122, 130 or 135 is more of a natural weight for him. If mares moves in weight it will have to be much lower and I dont see Mares fighting at 130 for a long long time. Talent wise he is very good and I hope mares do good in his career!!!!!!
