      I'm very sure. I don't see this fight going 10 rounds. There really isn't anything else Cotto can do to change the outcome. He tried every possible thing in July and still got battered.

        hah - he tried every possible thing. he didn't try to clinch and he didn't try to stay off the ropes.

        you and the world will see that cotto's a more special fighter than that.

          He didn't try to clinch or stay off the ropes because Tony wouldn't let him.

          Or did you forget that there was another man in the ring that night who also controlled the pace of the fight?

              Well he's not going to be able to avoid moving, but he can avoid moving into the ropes and staying there.

              By staying out of range and taking short steps back, or to the side, Cotto can still evade punches and stay off the ropes. He was hitting, running to the other side, waiting for Marg to get there, exchanging, then repeating. Basically he used a lot of wasted movement. He could have turned Marg, stayed in front of him, but out of range, slowly back or side stepped, and clinched when cornered.

              Hopkins does this very well. But Cotto aint Hopkins, so like I said before there's really not much he can do. Williams actually did a great job of this against Marg. He kept turning Marg and tying him up when he was close to being in trouble.

                    nobody hasn't made any excuses.we all gave margarito credit but even after what happened ppl are still not sold and ppl still pick cotto to win the rematch.

                      First Cotto didnt quit. Wait to june 6 and youll see. Cotto will box Margaritos ears off. And if Cotto land a flush left hook to the ribcage, you will see your boy crying in the ring. theres a reason why he welded his arms to his body and let Cotto hit him at will in the face!!!!!!
