Taylor? Who could forget Taylor? That'd be a better finale. If Hopkins could whoop on Taylor. Hopkins would be able to redeem himself and reach super legendary status.

Dawson is very unlikely as I said because he has a strict rematch clause with Tarver. Hopkins wants to fight no later than March.

Taylor is also unlikely, Hopkins is a clever man and realises to some extent now, Taylor just has a style, skill and work rate to do the same to him, and it's a risky but predictable 3rd fight. Taylor is also focussing on SMW, and kinda wants a belt. It's a risk for him too when he's finally trying to get going afresh in a new division.

Valuev. Very unlikely. A small circus show Hopkins could do, but a huge circus show like this, I actually think Hopkins has more dignity and style than that. For obvious reasons this fight is also a no.

Take a look at any of the belt holders at SMW CW and that is a great final win and addition to his legacy imo. He'd beat any SMW for one thing. Though he has critiqued Kessler before with his anti euro stuff. If Pascal woulda beaten Froch, nabbing that belt woulda been a good finale for him. He sure as hell aint coming to the UK to fight Froch.

Dawson is basically the only fight I can see if Calzaghe refuses a rematch (which he basically already has). Maybe a third Taylor fight might have some appeal to him from a personal standpoint.

Still a smaller fighter, which is my point.

Cat made a career out of overpowering smaller men outside of jones, taylor, calzaghe, and a part time movie star named tarver.

Whats the problem with fighting 175 lb fighters since he is one, or is that too much to ask of a natural lightheavy who has fought middles most of his career.

            Retire Hopkins please.

As a fan of bhop, I'd like to see him do one last crazy/impossible thing....like go up to Heavyweight and beat a guy like Valuev.

Dawson has a mandatory and to be honest, there really isn't much of a point for bhop to fight him at this point of his career (turns 44 next month). Same goes for Kessler. Other then Calzaghe, there really is no one left for hopkins. Heavyweight is the only interesting/bankable option imo.
