The talent is there for great heavyweight fighters

    Dimitrenko
    Povetkin
    Haye
    Gomez
    Platov
    Boytsov
    Chaegaev
    Arreola
    Johnson
    Peter

Have any of these fighters face each other consistently and you are bound to get atleast 2 fighters who have potential to stand up to Klitschkos. Fighting the best is the only way to create a great fighter.

I agree that there's a considerable amount of talent in the hw division but it's lacking good matchups. The Povetkins, and Dimitrenkos of the boxing world should be fighting each other not Taurus Sykes or Luan Krasniqi. Hopefully in 2009 we see some good matchup being made.

Agreed, that is the biggest problem that the good fighters are not stepping up against each other.

some solid fighters but there promoters wont let them fight each other which is a shame, you cant get a good fight with rubbish match ups.

i agree throw in *****ko and Virchis, they are as good as half of your list

if it was like the 60's and 70's where all the contenders fought eachother to move up in the rankings rather than **** ABC's sitting in hotel rooms receiveing bribes from promoters the sport would be better

....and Sultan Ibragimov deserves to be mentioned as well. Sultan is an underrated fighter, he is making a comeback in 2009.
