I like watching the guys who actually know how to box since it's called boxing and everything. I get no kick out of watching Pavlik and Margarito because they would be nothing without good chins and endurance.

ANYBODY can build up endurance. If you have a great chin, all you have to do is build your endurance and you're almost unbeatable until you run into a Mayweather or Hopkins.

A good counter puncher can be wonderful to watch but if they have an offnight or face someone negative is dull as hell.

My favorite fighters are all skillfully aggressive: Margarito, Calzaghe, JMM, Wladimir, and Vitali.

I don't like fighters who run a lot, like Spinks. I don't like unskilled aggression, like Ponce de Leon or Katsidis. And I can't stand watching fighters who don't have the power to hurt their opponents, like Malignaggi.

but more important than style to me is if they try to hurt their opponents.

i can appreciate boxers if they try to finish their opponents. if they're just trying to squeak by on points i don't like them.
