Tor Hamer what a unique name, i know how blacks love making up their own names for their children to show how diverse, individualistic, and creative they are
i suppose tor hamer is better than ferreri, lexus, or some "african" sounding name that they completely make up, that in reality isn't african and doesn't mean anything
gotta love black "culture"Comment

Deontay Wilder, Tor Hamer, and Odlanier Solis are all up and coming fighters wit alotta Amateur/Olympic background. Comparisons can be made with all these guys to busts like Audley Harrison, Dominick Guinn and for Solis there is Jorge Luis Gonzalez ya know? You never can tell until they go up against a real competitive dude. Guinn went up against Two Gunz Barrett......exposed (in his hometown). Harrison went up against Danny Williams....exposed. Jorge's ugly ass went up against Big Daddy Bowe......exposed. Ya see? History lesson in here for predictin success based on a fool's amateur and olympic background. If ya can pick em outta the choir then like, not boastin, but like I did wit Dre Ward then props to ya. Don't get embarassed like Ring Magazine who in 04 ran the front page article sayin Guinn, Baby Mesi and A-Farce Harrison were the saviors of heavyweight boxin.Comment

In 2008 USA Boxing ranks Tor Hamer the number one amateur Super Heavyweight in the country. Tor grew up in New York City and began boxing in 2004 (competitively in 2006). Though Tor has only been boxing for a short time, he is not a stranger to the discipline of fighting: he spent ten years studying martial arts and has 16 sport karate national championships.
Tor began boxing out of Joe Frazier’s gym in Philadelphia. It was there he found his love of boxing. However, it wasn’t until Tor met his current trainer, Shaun Raysor, at Kingsway Boxing, in New York City, who enabled him to take his love of boxing into an art. After a few months of training at Kingsway, Tor and Shaun were able to find a home at Gleason’s Gym, in Brooklyn, New York. Shaun’s uncanny training methods, couple with help from Shaun’s mentor, Robert Miles, Tor has been able to compile an astonishing 34-1 amature record, avenging his only loss with a knockout.
Tor Hamer is a two-time LI Amateur Boxing Champion, two-time NYC Golden Gloves Champion, NY State Golden Glove Champion, National Golden Glove Champion, NY Metro Champion, NY State Champion, and Regional 1 Champion.
These accomplishments in the ring pushed him to sign a pro contract with DiBella Entertainment on July 22, 2008 in order to test his mettle against the best in the sport.Last edited by Davros?; 12-29-2008, 10:03 AM.Comment
