    Jones-Calzaghe

Is it just me or was it saddening to see Jones get beat up like that. Seeing a Roy years past his prime with a huge cut on his eye getting picked off by Joe was quite saddening i think. I'm not a Calzaghe hater and maybe he couldn't make a fight with Roy back in the day but to see him make Roy look amateurish was awful. He certainly wouldn't be dropping his hands and showboating against Roy a few years back.

I won't deny that I found the second half of the fight very hard to watch.

I don't think you give Calzaghe sufficient credit though. Even though I would have favoured Roy heavily in a prime on prime fight, Joe would still have been one of Roy's toughest fights, no doubt.

It was sad, yeah. On the other hand, Jones was clamoring for the fight, and he certainly got one. I'm a fan of both fighters. I'm not one of those who says "Jones would destroy Calzaghe prime for prime", I believe Calzaghe would have always given Roy problems, his work rate is immense, and if we are talking Prime Calzaghe, he threw just as many punches as he does now, only he hit at least twice as hard.
