No reason for Hatton not to get props if he wins decisively.

There's no reason why he should get props for beating Tzsyu either but we both know that there is a number of posters who think Tzsyu was shot dispite all the evidence to the contrary.

Would the skeptics/haters dismiss the victory as that of a big man beating up a tiny guy moving up or would credit be given to Hatton?
The reason I ask is because it seems that Hatton had an aura of invincibility/ATG status and yet when Floyd destroyed him everyone seemed to jump off Hatton's bandwagon, even most of his own Brit fans so now a lot of people just consider him a mediocre brawler that got gift decisions a few of the top names or won in an unsavory manner etc. Would a convincing win catapult Hatton back into his old limelight and aura? Because as it stands now most people probably would NOT want to see a Hatton/Floyd rematch but if he destroys Pacman very impressively I suppose Hatton/Floyd would be the only logical choice for 2009's "Superfight", especially with the added intrigue of Floyd SR. training a "new and improved" Hatton.
Would be an all Mayweather 24/7 series..Floyd SR with his boxing poetry on one side and Roger's debilitated ******-speech trash talking his brother on the other.
if hatton destroys pacman it means that:

            1) pac is too small for 140 and needs to go back to 135

            2) floyd sr. is a great trainer and single-handedly brought hatton from the brink

            3) hatton/floyd II is a viable fight.

When has Pacquaio ever weigh 135 for a fight???

Pacquaio is Natural Lightweight. But he has been Milking the smaller division for a while now and even he says he will not do that nomore and fight at his natural weight which is 140...

Pacquaio is the p4p best in the sport. And just fuccked up Oscar at 147.

If Hatton beats Pacquaio at 140 not 147. It means Ricky Hatton beat Manny Pacquaio in Pacquaio's Prime and at Fighting weight in which Pacquaio himself says he will only fight at now because he can not make 135 or 130 no more.

If Ricky beats Pacquaio in Pacquaio's Prime.

Ricky Hatton validated himself as one of the best 140 pounders to ever do it.

Interesting that Sky has Pac as betting favourite.

gotta disagree with you and here's why.

                    1. ricky has avoided the real threats at 140 like bradley, holt, torres, and witter guys who can move and can crack at 140.

                    2. besides his win at 140 over kosta ricky hasn't defended any title he has won, he has cherry picked the weakest belt holders in maussa, and urango and avoided the real threats to his ring title.

                    3. pacquio hasn't even faced the best at 135 let alone 140. like hatton pac has a pitiful 5 title defenses and is 6-3 in sanctioned chapionship fights, hatton is like 5-1.

                    4. beating pac will shut up all these sycophants saying manny ia an atg when his only atg credential is winning four titles in four different weight classes.
when you see how floyd, pernell, tito, leonard, hearns, robinson, and armstrong did it manny doesn't rate with those guys.

Pac has never fought at 140 how do you know that it's his natural weight?

Yeah, but that doesn't make 140 Pac's optimal weight class.

Yeah, but Pac has never fought at 140 before and at 135 only once. right now imho we don't know what Pac's optimal weight class is.

If Ricky beats Pacquaio in Pacquaio's Prime.
                      can't deny this

yeah, Hatton should get credit tho
