i really wish he would have stayed at 140 a little longer than he did. he fought demarcus corley, henry bruselles, and gatti. his fight with corley was action packed, and he won damn near every round, i thinj eveyr round even. he tko'd henry, and looked sensational doing it, dropping him with a body shot, and ending it in the 8th or 9th round. and his fight with gatti, i'm pretty sure he won every round to. haha. anyway, ho would you rate his fighting style there. not, who he fought and didn't fight, and should have fought. we all know cotto, hatton, kosta were the names on people's mind, well, maybe not so much cotto, but hatton and kosta were the names. judah was also a name on people's mind. i mean, imo, this was floyd in his absolute prime. because i watched the corley fight yesterday, and floyd looked spectacular in that fight, against a guy who will fight you, and not back off, and floyd threw fast cmbos and beautiful combos against him. that shoulder roll in round 4 when corley was on the ropes throwing 1-2's at floyd, and floyd dodging them and landing a vicious right overhand hook, showed his versatility. i mean, floyd has had problems with southpaws in the past, although he adjusted to them very well, and in this fight, he landed some crisp punches, great bodyshots like in round one, he threw a body shot that he has never thrown before in his pro career. floyd mayweather is very versatile and he showed it at this weight. he is known for his defense and potshotting, and counter right hands, but floyd needs to be known for his ability to throw fluent combos to the body/head and knowing exactly when to land them and land them all. this is why is was so ahead of his time. in round 8, when he threw that right hook, right uppercut, and left hook combo to corley's head, and in a slapping motion, yet, very effective way, was something that just grabbed me about his style at this weight. floyd truly was the p4p king before his victory over gatti. skillwise, he was on a level above everybody. i mean, i dont' even need to go into the gatti fight, as i have gone into detail about that fight for years.
so, again, i present this question to you guys and gals. how would you rate his fighting style at 140?
note, he had 2 of 3 tko's at thius weight also. and knocked corley down many times when judah won a split decision over chop chop.
