Calzaghe wins, Taylor's stamina problems would be a big factor in the fight, Calzaghe would find a way to neutralize that jab and outwork Taylor to a clear decision.

Taylor fights going backward (and badly) when flustered. Not good against Joe, even if he slaps.

i dont think he has stamina problems, he went 12 for 12 wiht hopkins twice and mange to win by ud

taylor can pull this one off, he's a consistent accurate puncher and can handle cal's work rate

Hopkins wasn't exactly pushing the pace against Taylor, and Hopkins won the majority of the last 6 rounds in both their fights, Taylor relies on his jab to keep his opponents at his pace, Calzaghe is one of the best in the sport at neutralizing his opponents' best weapon, he would be able to neutralize Taylor's jab.

And Taylor was gassed in his first fight with Pavlik after throwing about 70 punches a round and got outworked by Pavlik in their second fight, while fading badly in the last 2 rounds, he has stamina problems.

...NO...If Calz fights again its Dawson or Hopkins..Kessler would be a good match for Jermain at this point in his career..Even tho I dont see the hunger in him when he fought Lacy, he wasnt fighting like he had something to prove he seems timid now and not as aggressive as he was in the first fight with Pavlik, testament to the KO probably but time will tell...As for a calzaghe fight for taylor, no...

There is nothing Taylor could do to win the fight unless a completely new and improved Taylor stepped into the ring.

He definitely does not stop Calzaghe and he definitely doesn't outwork him or control the pace of the fight.

Calzaghe by very wide UD. I wouldn't be surprised if Taylor loses every round.

His defense also goes to hell on the back foot.

I wouldn't say "Taylor definitely doesn't stop him" considering you're talking about a guy who has been down in the first round of his last two fights. Joe's got a good chin on him, but leaves himself open and Taylor is at his most dangerous in the early rounds. It's unlikely but not an impossibility.

Regardless, I see little chance of Taylor beating Calzaghe right now, judging from each of their most recent performances. Taylor would need to double his workrate in order to be competitive in the fight. I do think he'd be more competitive than Jones was, though.
