    2008 Boxing PPV stats

These are from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He has no agenda or any connections with boxing people and I consider him reliable. Since I have to type it myself I'm only including boxing numbers. Obviously the official Pac-DLH numbers weren't available when this was gathered. The top 7 were all WWE or UFC. If you want any specific MMA or wrestling show data you can ask me.

    500K-Jones/Trinidad

    450K-Margarito/Cotto

    405K-Pacquiao/Marquez

    250K-Pavlik/Taylor

    210K-Calzaghe/Jones

    200K-Pacquiao-D.Diaz

    190K-Hopkins/Pavlik

    080K-Chavez Jr/Loriga

    070K-Chavez Jr/Sanchez

    050K-Marquez/Casamayor

    030K-Chavez Jr/Celeya

    020K-Chavez Jr/Vanda

chavez jr. is a great great fighter. he is undefeated and has been facing better comp than calzaghe ever did during his career. all he needs is a worthless wbo belt and people would think he's an all time great.

You'll notice that JCC Jr's numbers have steadily gone downward. It would appear that well is dry, at least until he steps up in competition.

What the flip! Pavlik-Taylor got higher numbers than Jones-Calzaghe. And they even had a 24/7 series for Jones-Calzaghe. What went wrong there?

And bladdy hell. It seems like, in America, every decent fight is on PPV.
                Unlucky lads.
