Negotiations for a potential rematch between former undisputed middleweight champion Jermain Taylor and middleweight Winky Wright have it a major snag and it now appears that Wright will mix it up with WBO interim junior middleweight champion, and one of the most avoided men in boxing, Paul Williams. If a deal is solidified the bout would take place at the middleweight limit of 160 pounds on April 11 or 18.

Margarito and Williams both parallel trying to get wins over HOF's before younger challengers. Winky has no reason to fight @154 because he wants Pavlik/Abraham after. Williams wouldn't take that path because he is mandatory for Dzinziruk and would have to fight him after Wright. This also means that Taylor will have to fight Froch or Kessler now.
