Anybody Know Why Glen Johnson Never Asked For Rematch With Hopkins?

He asked for a third fight with Tarver, a fourth with Woods and even a rematch with Jones, anybody know why he never asked for a rematch with Hopkins? Thanks in advance.

Yea that's probably it, B-hop it's kinda irritating to fight and not a lot of people are eager to get it on with him.

Keep in mind...this fight occured in B-Hop's prime. prime B-Hop was a beast, wicked body puncher. In the Johnson fight, The commentators were left syaing B-Hop could go 20 rounds...His workrate was insane

Glen Johnson wanted a rematch with Hopkins in 2004.

            Here's a quote from a recent interview:

BOXING HERALD – I’m pretty sure you want a rematch against Roy Jones huh?

GLEN JOHNSON – That’s something I’ve been looking forward to happen. I want to fight all of these guys. I want to fight Roy Jones again. I want to fight Joe Calzaghe no matter if he wins or loses. Bernard Hopkins… these are people I want to fight again. Chad Dawson, if he has the nerves, and the heart, the will, I want to step in the ring with him again. Any one of these major fighters, I want to fight all these guys. It’s just a matter of do they want to fight me? Do they want to step to the plate and take on a real challenge, and it doesn’t seem that way.

I've seen him mention Hopkins' name before but I've seen him literally sound a bullhorn for other fighters. I dont think its like when Tarver is asked if he wants a rematch with Hopkins, he nonchanlantly says yes, I think Glen may want one more but I've never heard him say it with passion like he does about other fighters.

Like Hopkins, he is better now than in his younger years. He is a very difficult guy to fight as well, his defense is constantly changing and he is a pretty good counter puncher.
