Why couldn't Pac beat Barrera the 2nd time like he did the 1st time?

We all knew Barrera was going to box as he boxed Rocky. But why didn't Pac rush in on Barrera as he did the 1st time? Why was he so scared, timed of an older Barrera 2nd time around?

Maybe there was some mutual respect there? After all, Barrera is a a HoFer maybe he didn't wanna chance it?

Barrera got a better game plan together. He underestimated Manny the first time because Manny hadn't shown the world what he could do at that point in his career. Barrera, being P4P #3 or whatever it was, thought Manny would be a walk in the park. Little did he know he'd get a brutal, one-sided ass beating that would begin the much-deserved worldwide recognition for the current P4P #1 fighter on the planet.

In a nutshell: For the second fight, he trained harder and came in with a better plan.

I agree he gave Barrera way too much respect. But Barrera's plan was to pick off Pacquiao's rushing in and Pac didn't go for the bait. It was a borring fight, that both made borring.

I agree. I think MAB plans were to survive the 12 rounds, not winning the fight
