People would already be considering him for ATG status with the idea that he would be undisputed as the best by far among the WW ranks.
Rampaging irrational floyd fans would probably be bigger fans of him that Floyd.
Anyone giving another fighter a chance against him would be insulted and ridiculoud. -
As the top welterweight, with Floyd retired. Setting up nicely for a match with Williams to determine true supremacy at the weight. It probably would have been better for Williams should he have won.Comment

you guys gotta remember Margarito wasn't ranked P4P before that fight, he was still flying under the radar..............so I believe more people would be saying........."oh Margarito was always overrated, he never fought anyone" rather than saying "MIGUEL COTTO IS AN ATG!!!!!!!!!!!!"Comment

He'd definitely be considered the top WW, a great fighter, and top 3 P4P. I still think he'll end up being a great fighter. He's very skilled.Comment

I probably would move Cotto to #4 or #5, not higher than that, I stil have Cotto #6 and Margo #7 in my P4P list, because Margarito wasnt even a top 15 P4P and based on Cottos accomplishments. Now if Cotto beats Margarito and PW, then I would rank him #3 or #2 depending on how the other P4P fighters do. But there always be the haters saying that Margarito was overrarted and if he beats Williams, i bet that they will say that Williams is weight drain at 147 or that he had another off night, ect,ect,ect.Comment
