Cotto is the better boxer indeed but not the better infighter. JLC was good at tying you up and ****ing the body...Unlike DLH/ Hatton. JLC would going in throwing rather then waiting untill he got in. His punch selection was great against a great defensive fighter like Floyd. You gotta hand it to JLC dude put up a good fight

Just remember alot of people tried to do what JLC did to Floyd and they've all failed.

        Castillo has a better chin.

        Castillo has a better workrate.
Cottos stamina have been good always

Even Emmanuel Stewart said that Cotto is the beast inside fighter since Tyson

Cotto has not gone down by a punch in any weight. Rocked ofcourse, like 3 times by Torres 2 by judah, and a couple against Margarito, but never down.

His average of punches thrown by round is 73 and and connects 32. Plus his devastating body punching!!!!!!

Hatton..Chavez and Corralles all tried JLC's blueprint and got the hell beat out of them.

Hatton struggles with southpaws.....and Pac is afast and powerful one..but at 140 Hatton is too comfortable thats his domain I dont see Pac beating him at that weight.
I think the major diff is that hatton will be stronger and quicker then pac. you need certain intangibales to beat hatton, if pac develops a check hook then he can neutralize hatton's aggression, otherwise ricky will be jumping in on him all night

I think Steward was caught in the moment....because hell Floyd is a better inside fighter then Cotto..he doesnt miss and he doesnt get hit on the inside but few people see that.

But as far JLC to Cotto...

They are very similar fighters but I just think JLC's pressure and accuracy were too good in his prime.

Cotto is a better boxer then Castillo, but like others mentioned, Castillo has an advantage in dam near every other catagory, but Castillo doesnt have a better work rate then Cotto, Castillo doesnt throw a dam punch until the 4th round on.

I don't know how anyone can say that, that isn't an excuse. Clottey was winning up untill he started complaining about his broken hand. Then again Margarito gets MUCH better in the 2nd half of the fight. I'd like to see a rematch
