fighters who WOULDN'T die for a victory

Why have people responded with Miguel Cotto!!? This is why I don't come onto boxingscene very often anymore. Did you idiots see his fights with Torres and Judah? Did you see his fight with Margarito?

Oh, and if the thread starter actually meant which fighters wouldn't literally DIE, then the answer is there are no fighters on the planet today who would actually be willing to die for a victory.

Die as in no longer with us? Look outside of someone that was fighting in the era that Gladiator took place in, no way the guy should go into the fight deciding that he's gonna go ahead and die in the fight. Even if a guy had the heart and was willing to stay in there until he was dead would it really be worth it? I don't see anything brave or tough about a guy that goes into the fight expecting to lose and would rather die than have to live after the loss.

Now on the other hand if a guy was fighting like a maniac to win and in the process got killed then that would be what a hardcore boxer going out the way he wanted.

But, this mindset of deciding to die in the ring is just crazy in this day in age, but also it has to be considered that with the way fights are stopped now and with ring doctors it would be hard for a guy to just let a guy kill him just by being willing to take a beating. Most likely one big blow would be the cause of death in the modern era and with that being the case you would think that almost every fighter that steps into the ring knows that one can kill you, so if thats the case then almost any pro that is discussed here isnt afraid to die in there.
