Andre Berto had a decent year. He defended his NABF title. Won Floyds vacant WBC and defended it and won.

Andre Berto picked up the WBC strap, and gave it a defense. 3 wins overall in 2008. A good year considering that he was looked at as a prospect in '07, and is now pretty much set to fight the top guys at Welterweight.

              SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT:

Mikkel Kessler - two wins, defeated a tough opponent Sartisan for the vacant title, and then was forced to fight a mediocre opponent Haussler as a mandatory

Carl Froch - two wins, including the WBC title fight

Denis Inkin - two wins, including the WBO world title fight

Lucian Bute - two wins, both successful title defenses

Andre Dirrell - four wins, three over decent opponents

Sakio Bika - two wins, ready to fight a top contender/titleholder again

              Karoly Balszay - two wins

Jean Pascal - one win and a loss, but performed well in losing an exciting world title fight

Librado Andrade - one win and a loss, but performed well in a controversial world title loss

Andre Ward - three wins, will now step up his competition in 2009
