i mean pacquiao is a beast , but he's at best fighting at 140.

trust me after de la hoya, pacquiao challengers only would be weighting more than 154 pounds on fight night.
if pac settles in at 140 than I see no problem with a fighting Cotto at a catch weight of 144 or straight up at 147. That would be a great fight very entertaining.

If Cotto could fight Margarito a Middleweight than Pacman can fight Cotto. Pac has done better than most at Welterweight he could fight a tune up like Kermit Cintron for winner of Cotto-Margarito

Cotto never said he would fight Pacquiao. They asked Evangelista if Cotto would fight Pac and Evangelista said anything is possible.. Doesn't mean they are planning anything or actually thinking about the fight right now.

if he changes his diet (no lechon , no cerveza) he can probably still do it. he's not that tall.
He looked unhealthy at trying to drain himself to make 140.

It is more about his frame size and not his height. He is a thick guy that makes up the inches he lacks in height with inches in width/thickness. Cotto at Welterweight looks much stronger and healthy.

Pac fought a past prime, weight-drained Oscar at Welter...let's not get ahead of ourselves. And, if Cintron hit Pac with his right, that might be it.

Freddie would want a catch-weight of course to take something away from Cotto, but seriously, as a fan, would we want Cotto to risk this or would you want it to be fair and have both fighters healthy?
                Why win on the scales?

If you respect Cotto or any fighter, you wouldn't want him to be unhealthy

Come on both De La Hoya and Mayweather are below from Lightweight themselfs dont baby Pacman that he fits right in, and Pacman would slaughter Kermit

Pac has more talent than Kermit but Kermit has a lethal right hand that in my opinion, could knock him on his ass if he lands.

The first part isn't exactly clear to me...???
Are you saying Pac should be fighting at welterweight because he can do well?

This is a good fight. If Mayweather will stay retire.
