Just misinformed, you dont go 114-2 as an amature win titles at 147,154,160 simultaneously and go 46-0 as a pro lacking skill.
Just thought id let you know. i mean what person gets to the top of a sport not being skillful?
Football.. no, American catch...No, Baseball...No, Pool...No even Darts requires skill.Comment

Again, hes a great fighter. He was successful as an amatuer for the same reason hes successful as a pro, he throws a million effective enough slaps to keep you off him. It works for him, im not knocking it. I just dont see the skill in throwing a bunch of slaps a bunch of times.Comment

See, you think it isn't cause it looks sloppy and unprofessional. And it does. But his style is smart if you look at it. You ever notice the distance he keeps? He always stays in a moderate distance, like with the Kessler fight, he would stay close enough so Kessler wouldn't be in the jabbing game. Kessler would be seriously bothered by that because he would know that Calzaghe would be close enough to counter if he was to throw the jabs from that close. And in the beginning, Calzaghe was too much on the inside, so he ate some nasty uppercuts in the early rounds, then in the later rounds, apart from round 7, which Kessler did very well in, Calzaghe kept that moderate distance, close enough so it makes Kesslers jab less effective, but far enough so that he doesn't get eaten by the uppercuts. Similar is with Lacy as well.Comment
