However, if he beats Hatton on May 2, Pacquiao will clearly be the man at 140.
I guess, but if not for the mistake of one judge, Pac would be 2-0 against JMM, as close as those fights might have been. Obviously you can't rank him at WW yet, but I'd still put him ahead of JMM at LW.

it's weird because i went with only the 8 original weight classes.

i counted lopez at featherweight and pacquiao at lightweight.

i think dawson beats calzaghe tbh. doesn't matter i think joe is retired now.
I like Dawson, I just wasn't that impressed with him in his fight against Johnson, and I still think Adamek was weight drained. I expected him to beat Tarver, maybe not as one sided, but I need to see more of him before I'd put him over Calzaghe. But you're right, Joe might already be retired, and if he's not, he's probably just interested in big money fights at this point.

But he is not even the best lightweight. By your title logic, JMM and Campbell are above of him!!!!!

I'll put Manny as the best lightweight/Jr.WW after the Hatton fight.... Nobody gives JJM credits for beating past prime and shot Casamayor except xcaret and Ferocity...

don't get me wrong calzaghe legacy wise is greater than chad and probably always will be......but chad has youth on his side.

I honestly don't know enough about those divisions to form a good opinion.

I was hoping some of you guys would be able to pick the best in the smaller weight divisions, though.

I think Darchinyan is the man at 115, and Vasquev probably is at 122. But I know nothing whatsoever about strawweight.

what the initial poster was trying to do was make a list that excluded black fighters
