Duran was great and would beat Chavez. Julio was a tremendous fighter in his own right though.

This would be the fight of fights... I forgot who said it but i believe they said it best...

It would probably be such a brutal fight it could lead to the abolishment of Boxing.

I dont believe u can really predict the winner of such and incredible fight between the best 135-140lb fighters ever to be in the sport.

I admire both fighters but I'm a bigger fan of JCC so I'll root for him win or loose. This should be dubbed as the "Battle of Iron MEN" for both have exceptional durability and staying power despite being hit by heavy punches.

Damn, I'm not really sure who would win on this one.

        Great Thread Bro.

I personally think this one's pick 'em. JC Superstar was a destroyer - relentless, but technically so sound, plenty of power in both hands, and lots of heart. But Duran was an animal. It was like he removed every bit of humanity when he got in the ring and just became a savage, furious beast.

Duran was always one of my favorites, but I gotta admit Chavez matches up in many ways...
