you better not say he beat barrera , uncle benny.

while still good barrera was no longer at his best.

pacquiao gets **** for beating barrera while OLD and PAST PRIME......marquez fought barrera 4-5 years later than pac's first fight with him.

Marquez should have wins over Pacman and John on his record too, of course he will lose credit for those fights in time from boxrec fans

he's favourite for the Diaz fight and rightly so even if it is a tough fight to be confident about and he's never dodged a challenge (in fact right now he's doing what Pacquiao should be doing)

he is a great. maybe not as great as Barrera or Morales (not many are)... but he's still a great

A lot of people also had Pac beating Marquez twice. It's a fact Pacquiao beat Marquez twice.

And clearly he lost to Chris John. The word robbery is a **** made up by his fans. Just watch the fight in youtube.

            WBO122 Champion 1995-1996 , 1998-2000

Defeated Erik Morales , Naseem Hamed , Johnny Tapia , Kevin Kelley , Paulie Ayala , Kennedy McKinney plus many more good to great wins.

            Erik Morales:

            WBC130 Champion 2004
            IBF130 Champion 2004
            WBC126 Champion 2000-2002 , 2002-2003
            WBO122 Champion 2000
            WBC122 Champion 1997-2000

Defeated Manny Pacquiao , Marco Antonio Barrera , Daniel Zaragoza , Paulie Ayala , Carlos Hernandez , Jesus Chavez , Kevin Kelley , Junior Jones plus many more good to great wins.

            Juan Manuel Marquez:

            WBC130 Champion 2007
            WBA126 Champion 2003-2006
            IBF126 Champion 2003-2005

Biggest wins were Manuel Medina and Derrick Gainer before beating an old Barrera last year and a shot Casamayor this year.

            Mexico's 3 Greats? Maybe 2 and 1/2......

Erik Morales = Marco Antonio Barrera.........Marquez is not on their level of greatness.

Couple of things on the resume.

Barrera and Casamayor even at the point JMM beat them were as good if not better than some of the guys listed on Morales and Barrera's resumes (like Kevin Kelly [going down by the time Morales got to him] Carlos Hernandez, Johnny Tapia [by the time Barrera got to him]) you could probably add Agapito Sanchez to the Marquez list also, as he was as good as these guys, as was Rocky Juarez on the Barrera and Marquez lists.

                  fair enough.

but if we're gonna add guys like agapito and juarez then we're gonna have to add other guys as well like in jin chi , peden , jones , etc.

did i say beating casamayor was ****?

it's still a good win no matter how past prime casamayor is.

I think you're ignoring the fact that Marquez' best performances didn't come against Casamayor or Barrera but rather Pacquiao.
