I believe Marquez will win the fight, but it damn sure isn't set in stone. The Baby Bull always comes ready, and he won't go away easily. This has the potential to be the Fight of the Year.
say Juan Diaz Beats JMM...

i dont see why they wouldnt give Diaz all the credit he deserves! JMM has showed nothing to suggest that he is anywhere near close to being done! honestly i think diaz has a good shot to beat him, most people will obviously pick Marquez but diaz has the boxing ability and home advantage! this is a tough fight imo...Comment

well Diaz looked pretty damn good against Katsidis, but yes I know there is a huge difference between Katsidis and JMM. But Katsidis is tough and has power, alot of people keep bringing up the power difference but keep in mind...JMM was not able to finish off Juarez when he had him cut from his eyebrow and blood flowing down his face, not to mention, Juarez had a detatched retina that caused blurry double-vision...(according to Juarez)
So it will be interesting to see the how JMM handles a fast,non-stop action version of Rocky Juarez in Juan Diaz.Comment

How can they say Marquez is old and out of his prime when he's fighting better in the last 2 years than he ever has before? That's like saying Calzaghe is old and out of his primeComment

Marquez has been on the P4P lists for years and he just KO'd Casamayor. Of course Diaz moves up with a win. Obviously if Diaz wins then people will point to his youth and more natural size advantage. It doesn't mean it wasn't a big win for him though.Comment

by a competitive and close Slpit decision....
will he get credit for the win? or will you say JMM is shot, over the hill, and that he gor robbed??
there is a good chance for Diaz to pull the upset, but then again you can never count Marquez out...he's a fine technician.
I agree that JD has a very good chance here. I'm thinkin' it's actually pretty much an even money fight. Not sure I'd call it an upset if JD wins.
If JMM look slow and weak and not himself, I might start thinkin' that he's on the downslope. Dude's what, 35? That's pushing it a bit in boxing isn't it? Especially in the lower weight divisions? So it's not out of the realm of possibility (at least in my mind) that this is one of those fights where a guy gets old before our eyes.
But I doubt it. Is this JMM the same guy that was able to get up off the canvas the 3rd time and fight the Pacman to a draw? I have yet to see anything from him that makes me think he's not...On the other hand I'm not so certain that 135 is his best weight.
JD is young and hungry and good. If he beats Marquez it'll be quite an accomplishment, but the question will always be there. JMM is 35 and closer to the end of his career than the beginning. Not anybodies fault. Nobody tried to duck anybody or any of that ****. It's just the way it is.
So to answer your question:
Since all of your scenarios are possible, we'll just have to wait til' the fight and see...Comment

he aged real well. his style let him age well.
that said......i don't like this fight for juanma. i don't know what gbp is doing.
i think they sold jmm out to diaz like they sold out barrera last year to jmm.
jmm should fight a tuneup and wait for arum and roach to call while he has the lineal 135 title.
i think jmm will lose to diaz and it'll ruin the chance of a rubber match.Comment
