Hey. Don't take this thread the wrong way. I respect Bruce Lee, I just don't understand how people think he was such a badass, if the dude never had any televised fights...Feel free to prove me wrong.

Because he's an action star who beat up 5 bums in real life, then died tragically and became an instant legend.

If his son would have fought a couple of nobodies we'd be hearing him pitted up against guys like Louis and Ali too, bet on it.

And I'm not being disrespectful either. Bruce was a good man, and a great philosopher, but his fans are delusional nutjobs for bestowing upon him such greatness when he has little to no fighting background whatsoever.

He was in incredible shape. I wonder how true the stories about his strength were, but for some reason when I look at him, he just looks like one of those skinny guys that could kill you if he hits you. I don't think he is the greatest martial artist ever, because I don't know any other Martial artist, but I don't doubt he could fight. He grew up tough on the streets and implemented that into what he learned in Martial Arts.

Because he was a revolutionary. It would be like saying why do americans think George Washington is such a hero when he only took part in 2 real battles during the revolutionary war. 1 of which they caught the enemy sleeping so no actual battle took place and the other he watched from the sidelines as French Navy ships battered Cornwallace's fort to end the war.
