Roy could dance around a slow poor HW in Ruiz with with speed, Ruiz's movement was awful.

Haye has much better speed at HW especially now, better foot work, can avoid more punches than Ruiz could with his size and speed, and has lethal power.

      Roy got's KTFO I'm afraid.

He really doesn't. He had gifts. If he had skills, he would've been able to adapt a fighting style after his gifts diminished. Hopkins talks the truth.

You know I love Roy though.

Jones UD or Haye KO, the only chance Haye would have is if he were to KO him

i think its ridiculous to assume he doesnt... for a quick example... when he fought virgil hill.. he kept giving him the over hand right, after awhile vergil was expecting the over hand right, and roy knew it... so he faked the over and went underneath and broke a rib... thats not a gift... thats a skill, to think through a fight... roy definitely has skills... they may be unorthodox skills, but there skills nonetheless.

I find myself arguing for Roy usually, in that he's not as past prime as often made out.

Roy years ago beat a **** heavy weight in Ruiz, mostly due to movement. Roy could dance around him with speed, Ruiz's movement was awful.

Haye has much better speed at HW especially now, better foot work, can avoid more punches that Ruiz couldn't with his size and speed, and has lethal power.

Roy got's KTFO I'm afraid, I'm amazed it's up for debate.
I don't think it's a bad thread at all. And I do think it's debatable. Yes, Ruiz was a bad fighter. And Roy only fought once at Heavyweight. But Monte Barrett isn't exactly stiff competition either, and Haye's only fought once at Heavyweight also.

harder to cut weight when you're muscular.

what's more fair for a 193 lb. guy?

fighting a 220 lb. guy who cuts to 200 or a 225 lb. guy with no cutting weight?

A good example, but Roy has always had a sharp mind in the ring. I don't think that qualifies as a skillset. Though it certainly doesn't hurt. Some of the best fighters of all time had amazing boxing intelligence. (Bernard, Roy, Floyd, Ali, Robinson, Louis, etc....)
