This is a must for 2009. I believe Taylor can win, but Kessler is a very good fighter. I just can't put too much judgment into how he would do, because I don't watch him much. But He has never faced anyone on Taylor's level except for maybe Calzaghe.

      LOL no.

I got Kessler in a very tight and entertaining decision win. Anyone who thinks either guy knocks the other out needs to give themselves an upper cut. Pretty much no chance.

Anyone making ridiculous one-sided predictions on this fight needs to take a step back for a second.

Kessler has never beaten anyone as talented as Taylor, and while Taylor has beaten Hopkins, he hasn't beaten anyone who is anything like Kessler.

This fight would be hugely challenging for both guys. I see Taylor taking most of the early rounds and Kessler taking most of the later ones with it going to a very tight decision.

I give Kessler only a slightly better chance at stopping Taylor, late in the fight if it happens. That said, Taylor is dangerous early and while Kessler has never been down, he's shown on several occasions he can be hurt, and has a tendency to leave himself open for counter rights when he paws with his jab.

I really think that Kessler would destroy Taylor in 8 or 9 rounds with a fully grown KO!

Kessler has perfect stance, hard right, and a chin that was built for heavyweight..

            Taylor wille quickly realize that.

Just think, if Kessler was such an easy opponent, then why does'nt any "6 big ones" want to meet him? Palle is more than capable of raising 18-20 million dollars for Taylor. But they know, that if Calzaghe can only barely beat him by SD even with an injured hand, they know that he will take them down. Hard!

If Taylor can turn back the clock. Back to the time when he was a hungry fighter he should win IMO.

Stylewise this is not a good matchup for Kessler. Although he has a great jab he has also shown weaknesses for a counter right. He got hit by Sartison and even the limited Haussler managed to land an identical right hand shot. Good news was that Kessler's chin held up nicely but Taylor arguably has a better right and definetely more power.

So if Taylor improves since Lacy and he gets in peak condition so he doesn't gas, he will win a decision. Otherwise I see Kessler win possibly by late KO.

Nice breakdown of the fight As a biased American I predict Kessler by KO
